H.A.V.E.N. Family Resource Center
HAVEN Family Resource Center has been operational since November 2001. We provide a safe, comfortable environment for abuse victims to access services. HAVEN Family Resource Center works in alliance with other agencies to reduce the trauma to victims of crime and increase the success of prosecution. Our service area includes Mohave County and LaPaz County as well as the surrounding reservations.

Services
HAVEN Family Resource Center is a non-profit agency that provides services for victims of child crimes, sexual assault, and domestic violence in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, Child Protective Services, and other local social service agencies. Our services include confidential medical exams, interviews, and crisis counseling. HAVEN also houses the Child Abuse Prevention Council, and offers community awareness, parental educational materials (including AZ Parent Kits), Mandated Reporter Training, and the Food 4 Kidz program, which provides food to homeless children on the weekends to help supplement the free and reduced lunch program provided by the schools.
HAVEN offers a playroom, private medical exam room and comfortable interview rooms. We also provide showers, personal hygiene items, clothes, and food to children and families when necessary. Every parent leaves here with books, pamphlets, and educational materials. Each child leaves here with a toy/book/doll to reinforce the idea that he/she has done nothing wrong.

Annual Events
We make presentations monthly to local service clubs and besides offering donations, the community is always surprised at the number and types of crimes we have responded to in our city. Our presentation has been called: heart tugging; eye opening; sobering; educational and informational.
