Welcome .. The Navajo County Family Advocacy Centers (FAC) were established to provide a coordinated, multi-disciplinary and humane approach to cases of child abuse and sexual assault. The FACs offer a welcoming homelike atmosphere the FAC puts children at ease, increases the effectiveness of the investigative process and greatly reduces the trauma to children during the investigations.
The FACs are a safe, secure and caring environment that focuses on the needs of the victims they serve. The FACs are committed to providing victims and their families with a safe setting to assist in addressing and overcoming the trauma of their experience and break the cycle of violence that destroys families.
FAC is unique in that it provides:

Victim friendly and victim safe environment.

Reduces the investigation time for all agencies involved.

Reduces the number of interviews from as many as five to one per case, while at the same time increasing the quality of investigations.

Eliminates travel time for victims and significantly reduces travel for all service providers.

Improves coordination of multi-disciplinary teams: medical evaluation, forensic interviews, law enforcement, child protective service investigation, and prosecution.

Increases the number of convictions.
