There are many fine professionals throughout Arizona that are dedicated to keeping children safe from abuse, families safe from violence and communities protected from incidents of sexual violence. It all starts with your telephone call. If you suspect child abuse, make two phone calls – one to law enforcement and one to the Child Protective Service Hotline – 1-888-SOS-CHILD.
Suspect Abuse?
Remember- you don’t have to prove that anything happened, you only have to suspect abuse.
If you suspect abuse or neglect may be occurring:
- Determine if the child is in imminent danger or needs immediate medical attention
- Call law enforcement
- Call Child Protective Service Hotline 1-888-SOS-CHILD
Be prepared to provide as many facts as possible such as: name, address, date of birth, parents names, siblings, what happened, who did it, where it happened, etc. Click here for more information on how to spot child abuse.
